Puttshack’s Philly location is its 15th in the U.S.; roughly a half-dozen more are in development.

Puttshack, the miniature golf experience brand whose initial rollout is focused on major metro downtown locations like Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, and Houston, can now stick a pin in Philadelphia on its portfolio map.

A 26,000-sq.-ft. Puttshack opened last weekend in Center City, spanning an entire block from 16th to 17th Streets at the Shops at Liberty Place. Other tenants at the Metropolis-owned propertyt include Bloomindale’s the Outlet Store, Kiehl’s, Orangetheory, Jos. A. Bank, and Chipotle.

Like most entertainment concepts, Puttshack, whose CEO is Joe Vrankin, the former CEO of TopGolf, seeks out sites in dense urban areas surrounded by offices in order to benefit from a steady stream of corporate events.

"Puttshack's design and buildout are spectacular. Not only is this a wonderful addition for The Shops, but it will prove to be a game-changer for the city at large." claimed Michael Gorman, executive VP of Metro Commercial, the leasing representative for The Shops at Liberty Place.

Combining a tech-infused mini golf game with food and beverage service, Puttshack offers four courses and flips the scoring system of traditional golf by awarding points for making shots. Winners are the players with the highest point totals, not the fewest shots, and holing especially difficult shots can win players prizes such as free drinks at the bar.

The cost of a round at the Philadelphia location is $16 for players aged 13 and up and $10 for those 12 and under. Hours are 11 a.m to 11 p.m.--except for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when patrons can tee up on one of the courses or hoist up at the bar until 1 a.m.

Puttshack serves signature cocktails like the Perfect “10” Old Fashioned and an extensive menu that ranges from Mediterranean Lamb Skewers to Korean BBQ Bao Buns to Zesty Steamed Edamame.

Fifteen Puttshacks are currently open in the U.S., with new openings expected soon in towns including Baltimore, Columbus, Louisville, and Minneapolis.
