A rendering of the luxury retail wing at American Dream
American Dream, the Ghermezian family’s New Jersey mega-mall, will open the retail wing of the 3-million-plus-sq.-ft. property on March 19, according to a report on CNBC.
A 50,000-sq.-ft. Primark store and a 20,000-sq.-ft. Uniqlo will be among the first retail tenants at American Dream, which opened its Nickelodeon amusement park, its Big Snow indoor ski slope, and an NHL-sized skating rink prior to the holiday season.
Others reported to be in operation on opening day are Sephora, Old Navy, Aritzia, H&M, and Ulta Beauty.
The mall’s “Luxury Wing,” with tenants including Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, and Gucci, debut in December, and Triple Five CEO Don Ghermezian said more retailers would be arriving in phases.
“We’ve got Saks opening in the middle of the center. Now that’s a real anchor,” Ghermezian said. “Saks closed their other two stores in New Jersey to open at American Dream.”
Still to come to American Dream is a Dreamworks water park.
