Poag Shopping Centers, which lays claim to having invented the modern outdoor lifestyle center, will take over leasing and management of The Shops at Highland Village, an affluent community north of Dallas.

The 390,000-sq.-ft. property’s principal tenants include Whole Foods and a 12-screen AMC Cinema with an IMAX theatre and sits at the center of a 2 million-sq.-ft. retail hub that serves Argyle, Lantana, and Flower Mound, as well as Highland Village, whose average household income is $133,000.

“This property fits perfectly in the Poag portfolio and our commitment to elevating the lifestyle center format,” said Poag executive VP Brian Smith. “There is extraordinary potential to introduce new retailers, restaurants, and experiences to this exclusive community.”

Other tenants include Barnes & Noble, Victoria’s Secret, Chico’s, LOFT, Banana Republic, White House | Black Market, and Talbots.
