Paris Baguette reaches 500-plus stores in development
Paris Baguette is continuing its expansion across the United States.
The bakery/cafe chain says that year-to-date, it has awarded over 225 new franchise agreements, executed over 65 new leases, and opened nearly 70 new locations, including its 250th North American location in Frederick, Md. The new agreements add to Paris Baguette’s more than 500 stores in development.
With plans to reach the 1,000-unit mark across the U.S. and the 100-unit mark in Canada by 2030, Paris Baguette says it is committed to rapid growth in key markets including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and more.
The chain added that following the third quarter, it has now achieved 19-consecutive quarters of positive comparable sales growth, and 18-consecutive quarters of positive comparable traffic.
"Our growth this year continues to be astonishing," said Paris Baguette CEO Darren Tipton. "Our footprint continues to expand, supporting our mission to reestablish the neighborhood bakery café across North America."
In addition to new stores, Paris Baguette is also investing in its supply chain. The company recently broke ground on a $160 million manufacturing facility in Texas, which will serve as a “vital hub” for supplying Paris Baguettes cafes. Currently, most of the chain’s bakery facilities are located in South Korea, where the company was founded.

"This groundbreaking marks more than the start of construction – it's the foundation of Paris Baguette's future in North America," said Tipton. "With the new facility, which is set to be operational by 2027, we will be able to bring heart, joy, and nourishment to even more communities and ensure our franchisees receive the supplies they need to provide delicious, freshly baked goods to their guests each and every day."
Founded in South Korea in 1988, Paris Baguette operates more than 4,000 units worldwide, with nearly 260 open in North America.
