Zale names CFO, executive VP

Dallas Zale Corp. has appointed Matthew Appel to serve as CFO and executive VP.

Appel takes over from interim CFO Cindy Gordon, who took on the role when Rodney Carter resigned in January. Gordon also maintained her controller duties during that time.

While Appel's executive VP duties are effective immediately, he will not step into the CFO role until June 15, after the company files its quarterly report. Appel previously served as VP and CFO at ExlService Holdings.
