Wet Seal Names New President, CEO

Foothill Ranch, Calif., Wet Seal Inc. said Thursday it hired Edmond Thomas as its president and CEO under a three-year contract, with chairman and CEO Joel Waller stepping down.

Thomas was previously president and COO of the company from 1992 to 2000. He is currently president and co-CEO of Tillys Inc., a privately owned retailer.

Thomas is expected to join Wet Seal again in early October.
