Wet Seal Hires Hot Topic Merchandising Exec

Foothill Ranch, Calif. The Wet Seal Thursday company named Maria Comfort president and chief merchandise officer for its 402-store Wet Seal division, effective Aug. 25. She formerly served as CMO of rival teen apparel retailer Hot Topic Inc.

Comfort fills the space left vacant when Dyan M. Jozwick left in May to pursue other opportunities.
