Weis Names CEO

Sunbury, Pa. Weis Markets Inc. said Monday it has promoted COO David J. Hepfinger to succeed retiring chief executive Norman S. Rich.

Hepfinger, 50, will be responsible for the company's entire operations. He will report to chairman Robert F. Weis and vice chairman Jonathan Weis.

Weis Markets runs 155 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia. It also owns pet-supply chain SuperPetz.
