Walgreens names HR, communications execs

Deerfield, Ill. Walgreens announced late Monday it has appointed Kathleen Wilson-Thompson to the position of senior VP and chief human resources officer, and Charles V. Greener has been named to the new position of VP corporate affairs and communications.

They will join the company on Jan. 4.

Wilson-Thompson, 52, will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of all human-resources related activities. Greener, 55, will oversee all government affairs, community relations and corporate communications activities.
