Walgreens appoints chief medical officer

Deerfield, Ill. Walgreen Co. said Tuesday it has named Cheryl Pegus, M.D., M.P.H., to the new position of chief medical officer.

In her new role as the senior medical executive for Walgreens, Pegus will focus on driving clinical outcomes that improve patient lives, provide value and offer a platform for future innovation and growth, according to the company.
