Wal-Mart Names VP for Grocery Business

Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced that a former executive from Safeway PLC and Tesco has been named its executive VP of grocery merchandise.

Jack Sinclair will be in charge of planning, category management and general oversight of Wal-Mart’s U.S. grocery business.

Sinclair was group marketing and trading director at Safeway PLC. He previously worked for Tesco Stores Ltd., which is launching a U.S. effort.
