Urban Outfitters Appoints COO for Europe

Philadelphia Urban Outfitters Thursday announced the appointment of Andrew McLean to the newly created position of COO for the company's European operating divisions.

McLean, who begins Jan. 5, will be responsible for all European shared service operations, including finance, logistics, development and talent acquisition, for the company's retail brands Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, as well as wholesale brands Free People and Leifsdottir.

“We are delighted that URBN’s expansion in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe has been met with so much success,” said Urban Outfitters CEO Glen T. Senk. “We are committed to continued growth abroad.”

McLean joins Urban Outfitters, Inc. from Liz Claiborne Inc., where he worked since 2003, most recently as president of the outlet division. Prior to Liz Claiborne Inc., McLean served as senior director, controller at Gap brand.
