Urban Outfitters announces executive changes across its brands
Philadelphia -- Urban Outfitters Inc. announced a series of management changes across all its brands, including naming David W. McCreight to the new position of CEO, Anthropologie Group, effective Nov. 15.
McCreight, 48, most recently served as president of Under Armour, from 2008 until 2010. Prior to that, he was president of Lands' End from 2005 to 2008.
In other changes, Wendy Wurtzburger, who had been Anthropologie's co-president, will continue to serve as chief merchandising and design officer. Wendy McDevitt, who had been the other co-president, was named president of Terrain, the company's home and outdoor products brand.
Urban Outfitters also said Charles Kessler is returning to the company as chief merchandising officer of the Urban Outfitters brand. After spending 16 years at the company, Kessler left in 2010 to join Coach Inc.
