United Supermarkets CEO steps down
Lubbock, Texas The CEO of United Supermarkets chain has stepped down, the company announced Tuesday.
United Supermarkets, which operates 50 stores under United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United banners, said the board of advisors accepted the resignation of Dan Sanders. Sanders, who has been CEO for six years, will be replaced by Robert Taylor, the company's chief logistics officer, who will serve as interim CEO.
Sanders became United's CEO in June 2004 after holding other executive positions with the company in advertising, sales/merchandising, marketing and human resources.
