True Religion promotes interim VP to CEO

Vernon, Calif. - True Religion Apparel Inc. has named John Ermatinger CEO, effective immediately. Current CEO David Conn is stepping down.



Ermatinger has been serving as True Religion’s interim senior VP of global sourcing and production will build on the strategic initiatives that have been implemented since TowerBrook’s acquisition in July 2013 and will guide the company into its next phase of development.



“John is a seasoned industry veteran who will lead True Religion toward more accelerated growth,” said John Anderson, chairman of the True Religion board of directors. “His strong management skills, deep experience at leading apparel companies and appreciation for high quality product is the right combination to drive True Religion’s transformation forward. Ermatinger has served as the CEO of Tommy Hilfiger (Asia Pacific), president of Gap Inc. (Asia Pacific), president of the Americas for Levi Strauss & Co., as well as general manager of Nike (Asia Pacific).
