TJX Names Two New Board of Directors

Framingham, Mass., The TJX Companies elected Jose B. Alvarez and Alan M. Bennett to its board of directors.

Alvarez has been president and CEO of Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover since 2006. He joined in 2001 and was most recently executive VP, supply chain and logistics.

Bennett served as senior VP and CFO of healthcare company Aetna, Inc. from 2001 to 2007. He previously held other senior financial-management positions at that company, including controller and director of Internal Audit. He joined Aetna in 1995 as CFO, Aetna Business Resources.
