TJX names former Raytheon CEO to board

Framingham, Mass. – The TJX Companies Inc. has named William H. Swanson to the board of directors. Swanson, 65, is the former chairman and CEO of Raytheon Co., a technology and innovation company specializing in defense, security and civil markets throughout the world.



He was Raytheon’s chairman and CEO from January 2004 to March 2014, and chairman until he retired in September 2014, after a 42-year career with the company. During Swanson’s tenure, he held a wide range of leadership positions, including setting strategy and managing operations for Raytheon’s global business.
