Talbots Names COO

Hingham, Mass. The Talbots Inc. said Monday it named Michael Scarpa as COO, effective immediately.

Scarpa, 53, previously worked at Liz Claiborne Inc., where he served as COO and CFO, among other positions.

Talbots also said CFO Ed Larsen is retiring, effective Jan. 5. Once the 63-year-old Larsen retires, Scarpa will also assume the role of CFO.
