Talbots executive to step down

Boston Michele Mandell, executive VP retail, Talbots, will step down from her post effective Friday, The Boston Globe reported.

Mandell  joined Talbots as a store manager in 1983.

Talbots also said yesterday it has hired former Gap executive Gregory Poole to fill the newly created post of chief supply chain officer.
