Stein Mart CFO James G. Delfs to retire
Jacksonville, Fla. Stein Mart Inc. said Wednesday James G. Delfs, its CFO for 14 years, will retire.
The company made the announcement at its annual meeting on Tuesday. Delfs will help the company find a new CFO.
Stein Mart said that shareholders also re-elected 11 board members for one-year terms. They were: chairman Jay Stein, Alvin R. Carpenter, Ralph Alexander, Irwin Cohen, Susan Falk, Linda McFarland Farthing, Mitchel W. Legler, Richard L. Sisisky, Martin E. Stein Jr. and John H. Williams Jr.
In addition, Stein Mart CEO and president David H. Stovall Jr. was elected -- he was named to the board in December when he began working at the company.
Shareholders also approved naming PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Stein Mart’s independent registered certified public accountants for the fiscal year that ends Jan. 30, along with a proposal that raises the amount of shares available in the employee stock-buyback plan and terms of Stein Mart's restated management incentive compensation plan.
