Starbucks taps Microsoft for global HR director
Seattle Starbucks has named Microsoft veteran Kalen Holmes to serve as head of global human resources.
Holmes spent six years at Microsoft Corp., most recently as human-resources general manager for its entertainment and devices division. Her formal title will be executive VP partner resources.
Starbucks board member Olden Lee has acted as interim head of human resources since April, and will assist Holmes during the transition, the company said.
