Starbucks names Lee interim HR exec

Seattle Starbucks Coffee Co. has named board member Olden Lee as interim executive VP partner resources to oversee the coffee chain's human-resources strategy after Chet Kuchinad resigned.

Lee, a former executive for PepsiCo, has served on Starbucks' board since 2003.

Kuchinad's resignation, which was attributed to a family illness, took effect on Monday.

Starbucks plans to begin a search for Kuchinad's permanent replacement immediately.
