Staples to launch new workforce management solution

RedPrairie Corp. said Wednesday that Staples will be using the company’s Workforce Management solution to provide support for labor across Staples’ U.S. retail supply chain operations.

Nearly 1,500 associates will use the solution in four distribution centers located near Hagerstown, Md.; Killingly, Conn.; Terre Haute, Ind.; and Rialto, Calif.

“Our organization wanted a workforce solution that could provide visibility beyond the walls of a distribution center,” said Bill Ross, Staples VP retail distribution.

Ross said Staples plans to use the system’s Quality Management component to allow administrators to observe and coach associates toward maximum efficiency.
