Shopko CEO resigns

Green Bay, Wis. Shopko has appointed W. Paul Jones as its new CEO, following the resignation of Michael McDonald.

McDonald is leaving the company "to pursue another opportunity.” The company did not disclose further details. His last day is April 3.

Jones, who is now the company's president and chief merchandising officer, will become CEO, effective April 6. He joined Shopko in November 2007 after 20 years in senior leadership roles in various retail companies, including May Department Stores, Kohl’s and Sears.
