Sheplers Western Wear names CEO

Wichita, Kan. Former QVC executive Bob Myers has been hired as CEO for Sheplers Western Wear, according to a report by the Wichita Business Journal.

Myers replaces Dennis O’Brien, an operating partner at Gryphon Investors, who has been acting CEO since September. Gryphon is the San Francisco-based private-equity firm that owns Sheplers.

Myers spent eight years at QVC, most recently as senior VP, helping build the company’s Internet business. He also spent 15 years at J.C. Penney.
