Sears Holdings has broken up with one of its oldest suppliers.
The retailer will no longer sell appliances made by Whirlpool, reported
CNBC.In a note to its stores, Sears said that the manufacturer was making demands that would not have allowed the retailer to sell Whirlpool appliances at a reasonable price.
Sears is also pulling from its floor products from such Whirlpool subsidiaries as Maytag, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air, the report said. The retailer's relationship with Whirlpool dates back to 1916.
