Roundy’s closes Minnesota DC, cuts 196 jobs
Milwaukee – Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. is closing its distribution center in Stevens Point, Minnesota. The closure, expected to take place by Sept. 30, will eliminate 196 jobs.
Roundy’s will move the center’s operations to facilities in Oconomowoc and Mazomanie, Wisconsin, and the transition will be done in phases. The Stevens Point center serves stores in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, where Roundy’s recently sold 18 Rainbow grocery stores. Roundy’s has not said whether it will provide any compensation or services to workers who will be affected by the closure.
