Rite Aid tightens payment processing and security

The drugstore chain is deploying a new payment platform across its stores and e-commerce site.

Rite Aid has selected Bank of America Merchant Services to be its omnichannel payment processor and security solutions provider. Bank of America Merchant Services’ technology will manage payments at Rite Aid’s more than 2,400 stores nationwide, as well as its Riteaid.com e-commerce site.

In addition to payment processing, Bank of America Merchant Services is providing Advanced Smart Routing, which is intended to help Rite Aid with the efficiency and effectiveness of PIN transactions.
