Retail’s Big Show to draw record attendance

New York City -- National Retail Federation officials said Monday that a record crowd of 24,000 attendees is expected to converge on its 101st Annual Convention & Expo, which kicked off Sunday at the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The exhibit floor officially opens on Monday.



Under the theme “Retail’s New Rules: Engage & Evolve,” the convention focuses on technological innovations in the retail environment. Keynote speaker former President Bill Clinton is expected to draw a huge crowd on Monday, as he addresses the topic “Embracing Our Common Humanity” and discusses the challenges of globalization. Clinton’s session will be moderated by Macy’s president and CEO Terry Lundgren.
