Retail Gift Card Association names president, executive director

Miami The Retail Gift Card Association (RGCA) today announced that Andrew Rowe is joining the association as president and executive director. In this capacity, Rowe will be responsible the day-to-day management of the association, building membership, tracking legislative issues that affect gift-cards and working with the board of directors to further the association’s objectives.

Prior to joining The RGCA, Rowe held a number of positions at SourceMedia, where his career spanned 14 years. Most recently he was VP/group publisher of the Payments Group where he oversaw the development of PaymentsSource.

Founded in 2008, the Retail Gift Card Association is a member organization of diverse, closed loop gift card retailers committed to promoting and protecting the use of gift cards. RGCA members follow a code of principles, which promotes best practice standards to help the industry grow and shape it in ways that benefit both members and consumers.
