Expect to see more Walmart employees wearing blue jeans going forward.
The discount giant is testing new dress codes in a small number of stores across the United States — a move that Walmart hopes will help it attract and retain staff in a tight labor market, according to
Bloomberg.Besides allowing employees to wear shirts of any solid color, rather than just blue or white. They are also allowed to wear jeans, long as they’re solid blue, the report said. This is a departure from the company’s signature blue collared shirts and khaki or black denim pants.
