Report: Questrom will leave Wal-Mart board
New York City Retail veteran and former J.C. Penney CEO Allen Questrom won't seek re-election to Wal-Mart's board of directors, according to a news report.
Women's Wear Daily reported Tuesday that Questrom will step down three years after joining the board in 2007.
Wal-Mart Stores said it had no comment.
Questrom, 70, was chairman and CEO of J.C. Penney Co. from 2000 to December 2004 and before served in the same capacity at Barneys, Neiman Marcus Group and Federated Department Stores, now Macy's.
He is a senior adviser at Lee Equity Partners in New York City.
