Report: Outplacement technology on the rise for Insala
Dallas Outplacement and career-transition-software provider Insala reported on Tuesday an 8% rise in active EmploymentTalk users in the United States for the second quarter, reflecting what the company says is an increased need for career transition services.
“The second-quarter increase in U.S. active users [of outplacement technology Employment Talk] is reflecting a continued upward trend,” said Phillip Roark, president and CEO of Insala.
Companies have projected additional layoffs, continued Roark, and outplacement has become a standard benefit in severance packages for varied levels of staff.
According to the Mercer U.S. Severance and Strategy Survey (April 2009), 69% of organizations offer outplacement services to executives, compared with 57% for professional/technical employees and 49% for clerical/technical workers.
