Raley’s CEO resigns

West Sacramento, Calif. William Coyne, Raley's president and CEO since 2003, has resigned effective immediately, the supermarket retailer announced Friday.

The privately held company said its board of directors will meet soon "to outline a plan for selecting a CEO," though it said there is no specific time frame.

Dave Clark, the company's COO, will succeed Coyne on an interim basis.
