Price Chopper names president, COO

Schenectady, N.Y. Price Chopper has named Jerel Golub president and COO.

Golub had previously served as executive VP and COO.

The move was described as part of the company’s succession plan. He replaces Neil Golub, who will remain chairman and CEO. Neil Golub had been president since 1982. He has been CEO since 2000.

Price Chopper operates all of its soon to be 127 under the Price Chopper Supermarkets banner, and earns more than $3 billion annually in revenue.
