Pier 1 names exec VP merchandising

Dallas Pier 1 Imports has named Catherine David, a former executive for Kirkland’s, as the company’s new executive VP merchandising.

David, who most recently served as Kirkland’s president and COO, will oversee the merchandising team and the company’s merchandising initiatives. She has more than two decades of experience in the retailing sector, previously holding leadership positions within Sears Essentials, Sears Grand, The Great Indoors and the Burnes Group.
