Pantry CEO to retire

Sanford, N.C. Independent convenience store chain The Pantry announced Thursday that its chairman and CEO Peter Sodini will retire from the company when his contract expires on Sept. 30. The company’s board of directors has formed a search committee and plans to have a new CEO in place upon his retirement.

Meanwhile, the company also reported that Frank Paci has been promoted to executive VP business operations. He was previously the SVP finance, CFO and secretary. Paci will continue to serve in these roles, and will assume additional responsibilities for acquisitions and legal affairs.
