OfficeMax Names Lead Director

Naperville, Ill. OfficeMax has appointed Rakesh Gangwal as chair of the committee of outside directors and lead independent director. Gangwal replaces Gary Michael, who did not stand for re-election in 2008. Gangwal will continue to serve on the executive compensation committee and the governance and nominating committee.

Since June 2003, Gangwal has served as chairman, president and CEO of Worldspan Technologies, a provider of travel technology and information services to the travel and transportation industry.
