New Head Merchant to Join Office Depot

Delray Beach, Fla. Senior VP and chief merchandising officer of the True Value Co., Steve Mahurin, will join Office Depot as executive VP of merchandising, effective March 31. Mahurin will fill a position previously held by Kim Maguire and report directly to Chuck Rubin, Office Depot’s president of North American Retail.

Prior to his time at True Value, Mahurin worked at Home Depot for 13 years, beginning his career as an assistant store manager and rising to the position of senior VP of merchandising.
