Netflix names chief service, DVD operations officer

Los Gatos, Calif. Netflix has promoted Andrew Rendich to the newly created position of chief service and DVD operations officer. Rendich will be responsible for operations engineering, nationwide shipping and receiving, and customer service.

Rendich joined Netflix as a software developer in 1999, the year the company’s subscription business was launched. He became VP operations in 2007.
