NACDS elects new officers

Palm Beach, Fla. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores elected new officers, one new executive committee member, and three new board of directors members during the 2010 NACDS Annual Meeting.

Larry J. Merlo, president of CVS/pharmacy, was elected as the new NACDS chairman of the Board, to succeed Andrew A. Giancamilli, CEO of Rexall Pharma Plus, who completed his term. Merlo previously served as vice chairman.

In addition, Robert D. Loeffler, chief administrative officer of H-E-B, was elected as vice chairman, and Gregory D. Wasson, president and CEO of Walgreen Co., was elected treasurer.
