Miller Zell Announces New Executive VP, Consumer Products

Miller Zell is pleased to announce that Steven Skinner has joined the company as executive VP of consumer products. In his new role, Skinner will lead the sales and marketing effort in Miller Zell’s Consumer Products division, which has experienced double-digit growth over the last year.

Skinner has been a strategic leader in some of the world’s best-known companies, including The Home Depot, Accenture and IBM. Most recently as general manager of Microsoft’s Worldwide Industry Solutions Management team, he was responsible for developing the team’s marketing and partner strategies, industry-analyst engagement and managing the solution offering lifecycle from introduction to retirement.

Prior to joining Microsoft, he served as interim president of Home Depot Direct while simultaneously leading the division’s Customer Relationship Management organization.  During his tenure at Accenture, Skinner was a retail-strategy partner focused on corporate strategy, marketing strategy, joint ventures and international business development with companies such as Benetton (Italy), McDonald’s, Mothercare (UK), Best Buy and Federated.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and a former commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves, Skinner has extensive leadership experience that will contribute directly to the continued success of Miller Zell’s CPG group. He is also a graduate of the University of Chicago with an MBA in Economics, Marketing and Strategy.
