Michaels Names New President, COO

Irving, Texas Michaels Stores Inc. has named Shelley Broader to serve as president and COO, effective June 23.

From 2003 to 2006, Broader was president and CEO of Sweetbay Supermarkets Inc. Prior to joining Sweetbay, Broader served in various management positions at Hannaford Bros. Co., including senior VP of business strategy, marketing and communications.
