Macy’s Vet to Oversee Division

4/30/2008

Chicago Macy's Inc. promoted Mike Dervos to oversee the former Marshall Field's division, according to the Chicago Tribune. The new post was created as the department store chain shutters its Minneapolis regional headquarters and opens a smaller office in Chicago.

Mike Dervos, who was named senior VP and regional director for the Chicago, Minneapolis and Detroit regions, is charged with making the stores more in tune with local tastes. He holds the highest position in the former Field's region, the report said.

Dervos most recently was regional director of stores for the New York metropolitan region and was responsible for all Macy's stores operating outside of Manhattan.

Dervos joined Macy's in 1998.
