Lowe’s announces exec changes

Mooresville, N.C. Lowe’s Cos. announced the retirement of long-time merchandising executive John L. Kasberger, effective Jan. 31, 2010. Kasberger served as senior VP/general merchandise manager -- kitchen and bath.

The chain also announced two promotions in its store operations and marketing areas.

Brent G. Kirby has been promoted to senior VP operations North Central Division. Kirby joined Lowe’s in 1986 and has worked since 2005 as VP installed and special order sales.

Thomas J. “Tom” Lamb has been promoted to senior VP marketing and advertising. Lamb joined Lowe’s in 1999 and served as VP marketing.
