Kroger Names New Board Member

Cincinnati A former top executive with Avon Products has joined Kroger Co.'s board of directors. Susan Kropf was elected to a term ending in June 2008, at which point she'll stand for election by shareholders.

Kropf retired earlier in 2007 as president and COO for Avon. She spent 35 years with the cosmetics company.

Her election brings the number of board members to 17, Kroger said in the release.
