Krispy Kreme CEO Resigns
Winston-Salem, N.C. Krispy Kreme announced Monday that chief executive Daryl Brewster has resigned. He will be replaced by the company's chairman, James H. Morgan.
Brewster left his position for personal reasons but will stay with Krispy Kreme until the end of January, the company said.
In March 2006, Brewster was named CEO to steer Krispy Kreme back on track, but the chain has continued to struggle under his leadership, posting weak sales and persistent losses.
