Hy-Vee names new president

West Des Moines, Iowa Hy-Vee Inc. has selected Randall Edeker to serve as its company president, succeeding Ric Jurgens. Jurgens will remain chairman and CEO of Hy-Vee.

Edeker, a 28-year veteran, started his career as a part-time worker at a Hy-Vee and later managed a store in Columbus, Neb., before moving to Hy-Vee's corporate office in 1995.

Edeker is only the fourth president of Hy-Vee in its 80-year history. He will oversee retail operations, store design, marketing, advertising and communications.
