Home Depot CFO named Atlanta Fed chair

Atlanta The Home Depot CFO Carol B. Tome has been named the chairman of the Atlanta Fed for 2010.

Tome will begin her term as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta starting Jan. 1. Tome currently serves as deputy chairman.

She replaces Scott Davis, chairman and CEO of United Parcel Service, whose term on the board ends Dec. 31.

Tome has served as the CFO of Home Depot since 2001. She is a former banker, having spent time as a commercial lender with United Bank of Denver. Tome is also a director for UPS.

She was appointed to the Atlanta Fed board for a three-year term in January 2008.
