Hibbett announces executive promotion

Birmingham, Ala. Hibbett Sports announced Thursday the promotion of Terry Mayfield, formerly the company’s director of information systems, to VP and CIO, effective immediately.

Mayfield joined Hibbett as project manager in July 2005 to manage the company’s JDA systems implementation. He was subsequently promoted in August 2006 to director of information systems. Prior to joining Hibbett, Mayfield had spent the last 30 years in various IT roles.
